Closing Date 21 May 2021
This role will oversee the running of the community facilities in the Parish of Glapwell. The Glapwell football ground is managed by the Glapwell Community Sports Association and comprises a large football pitch and MUGA. The pitch is home to the Glapwell Football Club. The MUGA attracts returning winter teams as well as some summer users.

The Glapwell Centre is currently operated by Glapwell Parish Council but discussions are underway to turn the management over to a Community Association and this position may be transferred to a charity management committee. The Glapwell Centre is home to a diverse range of user groups but is currently underused. There are plans in place for a range of new community activities as soon as restrictions allow.

The Community Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the management and administration of both sites including managing the Glapwell Centre staff and football ground volunteers. The person employed will be expected to oversee and maximise facility activities, maintaining and increasing community use and income from commercial lettings. This role will include managing bookings, invoicing and utilities as well as ensuring all legal requirements are fulfilled (Health and safety, risk assessment, COSHH etc.).

We welcome anyone wanting to visit the centre before applying. To apply please send a CV, including two referees and a covering letter that explains how you meet each of the criteria of the person specification. Application can be sent to glapwellpc@outlook.com
