The Glapwell Centre Survey

We have been proud to be home to REAL Education at The Glapwell Centre for many years, helping them provide educational opportunities in the community. At the beginning of the year REAL announced that they will be moving into their own premises and Glapwell Parish Council want to wish them all the best.

This now means we are in the position to make changes to the building itself and to the services it can offer to the community. This will be even more important given the current situation and what Glapwell village will need as we come out of the pandemic. To help us we would be very grateful for as many people as possible to fill in this short survey. It will only take approximately 2 minutes and will give you the chance to tell us what you would like to see at The Glapwell Centre.

Green bin collection recommences 11th May 2020

Bolsover District Council have announced that the green bin collections will resume form 11th May 2020.

Embroidery project for Derbyshire over 65’s

Would you like to take part in a new project making an embroidered quilt with other people from across Derbyshire?

If you are over 65 and live in Derbyshire, artist Lois Blackburn and poet Philip Davenport can provide creative packs, full of ideas and materials direct to you in the post. Whether you are experienced and confident in embroidery, or a complete beginner, everyone’s contribution is welcome.

Bogus door to door salespeople warning

We have received several reports of people going door to door claiming to be selling goods or offering services. The services offered vary from house to house. Please be aware that they may not be who they claim to be and do not let anyone into your home unless you have checked that they are genuine.

Job Vacancies at Glapwell Parish Council

We are pleased to offer two positions at Glapwell Parish Council.

MUGA Marketing Manager
This is a five hour per week position and entails increasing use of the MUGA facilities.
